Job Description: Corporate Law Paralegal
Position Summary:
The Corporate Law Paralegal will provide comprehensive legal support and assistance to the attorneys in the Corporate Law department. This role will primarily focus on assisting with corporate legal matters, including but not limited to drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, managing files, and assisting in the preparation of corporate transactions. The Corporate Law Paralegal will work closely with attorneys, clients, and other internal teams to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of legal services.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist attorneys in the preparation, review, and editing of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and corporate filings.
2. Conduct thorough and accurate legal research using various resources to support case preparation and provide relevant information to attorneys.
3. Organize and maintain legal files, documents, and databases, ensuring proper documentation and confidentiality.
4. Prepare and file legal documents with appropriate regulatory bodies and courts, ensuring compliance with prescribed procedures.
5. Coordinate and liaise with internal teams and external parties to collect necessary information and documentation for legal matters.
6. Assist in the organization and preparation of materials for meetings, depositions, hearings, and trials.
7. Draft correspondence, memos, and other legal documents as required.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents applicable to corporate law.
9. Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for closings, filings, and other corporate transactions.
10. Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements for attorneys, when necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Law, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
2. Minimum of [X] years of experience working as a paralegal in a corporate law setting.
3. Strong knowledge and understanding of corporate law principles, procedures, and legal terminology.
